Emily's gown had a wide satin waistband and plain illusion upper bodice. We narrowed the band and added small lace appliques to embellish the front.

The illusion was uncomfortably tight at the armholes, irritating Emily's skin. Removing the stitching to let the fabric relax solved the problem. Small lace appliques gave just the right amount of added embellishment.
